Location. Located in the historic Printers Row district of downtown Chicago, Ill., this landmark hotel occupies the 19th century Morton Salt Building, renovated in early 2006. The Chicago Loop financial and business district is two blocks from the hotel and Millennium Park is six blocks away. Within one mile are the Chicago Board of Trade, Sears Tower and the Art Institute of Chicago. Tribune Tower, Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier are within two miles of the hotel.
Hotel Features. Furniture arrangements throughout Hotel Blake are inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School design and include vast floor to ceiling windows, exquisite lighting and minimalist 1940s d�cor. The Custom House features a wine cellar of the finest West Coast vintages and a fusion of American and Mediterranean cuisine, with an a la carte menu that changes daily.
The 24 hour business center offers computer rentals and fax, print and photocopy services. High speed Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel, including more than 2,000 square feet of versatile event space accommodating up to 100 guests. The 24 hour fitness center features cardiovascular and strength training equipment and the on site day spa provides therapeutic treatments.
Guestrooms. Reflective of a contemporary style residence, the guestrooms at Hotel Blake boast vaulted 12 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city skyline. The 162 smoke free rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless Internet access and iPOD compatible radios with docking stations. Bedding is composed of Egyptian cotton linens and down comforters and duvets. Bathrooms include granite countertops and robes, and marble showers feature rain showerheads and Bath & Body Works spa products.
